Trolling with the Troops is an annual event held each June in Southwest Michigan, bringing together veterans and local fishing captains for a day of camaraderie, gratitude, and unforgettable experiences on the waters of Lake Michigan.

📅 Friday, June 26, 2026 – Thank You Dinner
👉 Thank You Dinner – Stevensville American Legion (3093 Johnson Rd, Stevensville, MI). Begins at 6:00 PM. Includes dinner, raffle prizes, guest speakers, and entertainment. Please plan to attend for at least two hours. Veterans and captains only (no guests).
📅 Saturday, June 27, 2026 – Fishing Event & Boat Parade
👉 Fishing on Lake Michigan
Meet your assigned captain at a St. Joseph River dock/launch. Arrive by 5:30 AM; depart by 6:00 AM onto Lake Michigan. Fish through the morning.
👉 Boat Parade & Wrap-Up
Return via a boat parade through the St. Joseph pier heads, often accompanied by the U.S. Coast Guard and welcomed by the community. Participate in a Big Fish Contest. Captains will clean and share the catch. Day concludes around 3 PM.
